Rules

Call changes, doubles or minor may be rung.

For call changes, the test piece will consist of not less than 240 rows counting from the first call change, during which at least two pairs of bells per minute must be changed.

For doubles, the test piece will consist of 240 changes - either two 120s rung consecutively or a 240 with each change repeated once.

For minor, the test piece will consist of a true touch of 240 changes.

For the branch level competition, anybody may compete. Those bands wishing to compete for a place in the association-wide final must consist of regular Sunday Service ringers of the tower being represented. At branch level, 'scratch' bands are permitted - i.e. bands not made up of regular Sunday Service ringers from a particular tower - so that anyone who wishes to can experience competition ringing. Ringers may ring in more than one band. Towers may put forward more than one band to represent them.

Timings for practising and ringing the test piece will be discussed on the day.
