Branch outing


Saturday, 02 October 2021 1000 - 1640

The annual branch outing is on Saturday 2nd October. This year the towers are within the Bigby/Walesby area of Lincolnshire.  All east of our branch and is about one hour drive from Sheffield.  First four towers are ground floor rings.  Full day itinerary as follows:

1000 – 1040 Bigby, (6) 6-1-8 (DN38 6EP)

1100 – 1140 Grasby, (6) 13-0-11 (DN38 6AT)

1200 – 1330 Lunch at the White Hart, Caistor, LN7 6UB

1400 – 1445 Walesby, (8) 12-0-14 (LN8 3XA)

1500 – 1540 Middle Rasen, (6) 6-3-13 (LN8 3TS)

1600 – 1640 Market Rasen, (8) 8-2-15 (LN8 3HL)


Please note that the church at Walesby (All Saints) is the old church at the edge of the village on the Viking Way and is one of the highest spots in Lincolnshire.  The church is accessed from Walesby village by a track (around 500m walk) and has good views of the area.  Further information available at https://www.walesbychurches.org/all-saints-walesby.html

Car parking suggestion at Market Rasen is at a public car park that is around 100m from the north side path of the church.  Festival Hall Car Park on Caistor Road LN8 3HT.


Lunch arrangements

We have provisionally booked 20 places at the White Hart pub, Caistor.

A Freehouse pub that serves lunch time meals.
