Selby Abbey hosted the YACR Twelve Bell Practice on Saturday 25th September 2021. We knew that is was going to busy due to it being made fully booked two days earlier so we had two Ringing Masters in place to ensure everthing ran smoothly. As with the Striking Competition the previous week in York it was pleaseing to see many new faces and encouraging to see a good number of younger ringers making the most of this oportunity.

For many it was to be their first attempt at twelve bell ringing and for others it was their first ring away from thier home tower! as you can imagine it was an afternoon of many firsts with rounds, call changes and plain hunting on eleven being the order of the day.

The afternoon was rounded off with a chat and refreshments in the Abbey.
